The standards every page on this site is held to. Shorter than most legal pages, because it is meant to be read.
Independence
No vendor pays for coverage, placement, ranking position, or removal. We do not accept sponsored posts, free subscriptions in exchange for coverage, or early access in exchange for favorable framing. If a vendor offers any of these, the offer gets declined and, where relevant to readers, reported on the page.
How verdicts are formed
Verdicts follow the protocol on the methodology page: pricing forensics, public-records spot checks, changelog and documentation review, and community-signal analysis, all cited and dated. The verdict is written before any affiliate consideration. Tools with no affiliate program are covered on identical terms, and pages note when we earn nothing from a recommendation.
Sourcing rules
Factual claims cite primary sources only: the vendor's own pages, archived snapshots, public records, or regulatory filings. Other review sites are never used as evidence. Where we report community sentiment, we cite the public threads and review platforms directly and distinguish patterns from anecdotes.
Honest framing of method
Reviews based on desk research are labeled as desk research. We do not claim hands-on experience we do not have. When a page is upgraded with hands-on testing, the page states when the testing happened and what was tested.
Corrections
Errors get fixed in place, promptly, with a dated correction note on the page. To report an error, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 hours. If a vendor disputes a finding, we re-verify against the cited sources and either stand by the finding with evidence or correct it visibly.
AI assistance
Drafting and research on this site are assisted by AI tools. Every published claim is verified against primary sources, and every page is reviewed and approved by the named author before publication. AI is an instrument here, not an author of record.
Affiliate revenue
